On June 4, the delegation of Shaanxi Development Zone under the Vice Director of Xi'an national civil aerospace industrial base Administrative Committee Mr. Jiang Yang visited Free Economic Zone “Brest”.


The purpose of the visit was reviewing the investment potential of free economic zone for proposals and recommendations to develop Belarusian-Chinese economic cooperation.


Mr. Jiang Yang told about being in Belarus, visiting the “Great stone” Industrial Park, meetings with Belarusian partners. He drew attention to Chinese businesses desire to develop regional cooperation and use economic possibilities of FEZ for the promotion of investment projects.

For delegation members were shown the presentation of Brest FEZ. Head of the division for foreign economic relations and investments Ihar Kaliadzich told about investment potential of Brest FEZ, conditions of residents activity, tax and customs benefits.


During the speech, it was noted that the city of Brest, so as the city of Xi'an, is located on the “New Silk Road”. It is here that the transit of international container trains from the PRC to the European Union countries with the transition from broad gauge to narrow.


Now, 47 enterprises with foreign capital are operating in the FEZ. Among them is a company "Arlight and K" with Chinese investments, which is engaged in the manufacture of LED strips. Since December 2018, FEZ resident “Brestmash” has been assembling low-tonnage cargo vans and minibuses of well-known Chinese company “JAC Motors”.


After negotiation, Chinese delegation went to the investment sites “Airport” and “Kozlovichi”, where they visited the enterprise STiM.
