Traditionally, on the eve of the new year, the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus summed up the results of the competition "The Best Products of the Republic of Belarus" in 2020.

The competition was held in two stages. At the first (regional) stage, the competition commissions determined the finalist products and among them the products claiming to be awarded the "The Novelty Product of the Year" status, as well as candidates for the special award "The Best Product in the Region". At the same time, the all aspects of the companies activities were regarded (production and technological, social, commodity and financial, regulatory and metrological, information and advertising, as well as energy saving and safety aspects).

At the second stage of the competition (republican), the competition committee decided to award the products the title of laureate and the status of "The Novelty Product of the Year", and it was decided to award the companies the special awards "The Best Enterprise in the Industry" and "The Best Enterprise in theRegion", as well as the diploma "For Stable Quality".

When summing up the final results of the competition, the Republican Competition Commission took into account the consumers opinions about the enterprises- finalists and the quality of their products and services.  In the nomination "Industrial goods for the population and handicrafts" the winner was the Open Joint Stock Company "Pinsk Industrial and Trade Association " Polesie ". In addition, the company was awarded a special prize "The Best Production in the Region".


OJSC "Pinsk Industrial and Trade Association" Polesie " has been  a resident of the "Brest" FEZ since 2011. It is one of the largest enterprises of the light industry of the Republic of Belarus for the production of knitted outerwear, semi-woolen and high-volume yarn.

The company products have been well-known for over 50 years in the markets of Belarus, neighboring and far abroad countries. The second laureate of the competition in the nomination "Industrial goods for the population and handicrafts" was the Open Joint Stock Company "Baranovichi Cotton Production Association" (Blakit).


JSC "BPHO" has been a resident of the "Brest" FEZ since 2011. It is the largest manufacturer of textile products in Europe and in the CIS countries. The enterprise has a full production cycle: cotton processing, yarn making and finished garments.

Consistent quality, environmental friendliness and practicality of fabrics, ease of use and exclusive design, a combination of invaluable experience and following up the latest fashion trends allow JSC "BPHO" to occupy a leading position in the field of home textiles. In the nomination "Products for industrial and technical purposes" the winner was the Open Joint Stock Company "Ruchayka".


OJSC "Ruchayka" has been a resident of the "Brest" FEZ since 2011. It is a modern continuously developing enterprise with the 40 years of experience in the production and sale of awning materials, geotextiles, yarns, decorative and technical fabrics, roofing membranes.

“Ruchayka” is the only manufacturer of import-substituting products in the Republic of Belarus, such as banner and awning materials, materials for mine ventilation, roofing membrane and waterproofing materials. More than 70% of the company's products are exported to the CIS countries, near and far abroad. The enterprises, which products were awarded the title of the laureates  will be awarded diplomas and they will be given the right to place the logo of the competition winners on their goods and their packaging, as well as to mention it in documentation and advertising materials.

The logo of the competition "The Best Goods of the Republic of Belarus" is a sign of quality domestic goods, which serves as a guide for consumers while choosing products.

Information about the products-laureates and their manufacturers will be posted on the website of the State Standard Organisation in the section "Quality and Business Excellence" and in the annual illustrated catalog "The Best Products of the Republic of Belarus", which will be sent to the representative offices of our country abroad.
