THE VISIT OF THE DELEGATION FROM ISRAEL TO THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE FEZ “BREST”

On September 5, a delegation from Ashdod headed by Vice Mayor Shimon Katznelson visited the administration of the FEZ “Brest”. Representatives of the Israeli twin city were invited to Brest to participate in celebrations dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of the city of Brest.

During the meeting which was held in the FEZ administration, the vice-mayor of Ashdod spoke about the history, demographic situation, and the main directions of the socio-economic development of the city. Ashdod is located on the Mediterranean coast, thirty kilometers south of Tel Aviv. The city is an important regional industrial center. Ashdod port is the largest in Israel. 60 percent of all goods imported to the country pass through it, including goods from Belarus. For example, in Israel, the products of the resident enterprise of the FEZ "Brest" "Santa Bremor" are in steady demand.

The head of the FEZ administration informed the delegation about the activities in the free economic zone, its economic and investment potential, tax and customs preferences, which allow residents of the zone to gain competitive advantages and develop their business successfully. One of these enterprises is the Fa-uN company with Israeli capital, which established production of feed additives for agricultural production in the FEZ.

The parties expressed mutual interest in expanding partnerships in the field of economic cooperation, sharing information to attract investment, and establishing cooperative ties between enterprises. In this regard, promotional materials on business entities of the free economic zone were transferred to members of the Israeli delegation.
