The Brest FEZ is strengthening its ties with Chinese partners

On November 29, the delegation of Bengbu National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Anhui province, China) visited Free Economic Zone “Brest”. The working group included representatives of leading companies and High-tech zone leadership under the Deputy Director of the Management Committee Ms Jin Mei.

The business trip of the Chinese delegation to Belarus was organized in frames of the implementation of a bilateral cooperation agreement signed during the visit of the FEZ "Brest" administration CEO to Anhui province in October 2017.

Ms Jin Mei noted that Chinese business has an increased interest in Belarus due to favorable geographic location on the border of the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union. Within the framework of the “One Belt, One Road” concept, the city of Brest occupies a special place.

In preparing the visit, many companies of Bengbu High-tech zone expressed their interest in realization of investment projects in Belarus. Chinese businessmen are planning to visit Brest FEZ to get all necessary information to achieve these goals.

During the meeting with the CEO of the FEZ “Brest” administration, China guests were interested in the issues of economic activity in the free economic zone, current tax and customs privileges, availability of free sites for organizing production, opportunities for renting premises, and the level of specialists training. The delegation members were shown the presentation of Brest FEZ and various information materials prepared in Chinese were given.

After the meeting in Administration, the guests got acquainted with the work of enterprise with Chinese investments “Arlight” on the industrial zone near the airport, as well as visited free land sites provided with all necessary engineering infrastructure.
