On October 7th, OJSC "Ivatsevichdrev", the resident of the "Brest" FEZ, held a business briefing for the heads and employees of diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Belarus.
The event was attended by diplomats of more than 20 foreign missions, as well as heads of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, the "Brest" FEZ Administration, Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, “Bellesbumprom” Concern, JSC “Belarusian Forestry Company”.
Open Joint Stock Company "Ivatsevichdrev" is one of the largest woodworking enterprises in the country, which specializes in the production of chipboard laminated boards, lumber, furniture, synthetic resins.
The enterprise employs more than 1,000 people, and its status is defined as “city-forming”.
The company's products, made from environmentally friendly raw materials, meet high quality standards and they are widely used in the production of furniture both in our country and abroad. Many types of products are export oriented.
This year, on July 15th, OJSC "Ivatsevichdrev" became a resident company of the "Brest" FEZ.
The enterprise got the opportunity to become a part of the zone in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated April 29, 2020 No. 152.
During the business briefing, Fiodar Kalanchuk, the head of "Brest" FEZ Administration, made a presentation of the free economic zone. The head of the administration informed the diplomats about the economic potential and conditions of activity in the FEZ, spoke about the successful projects implemented by foreign investors.
As part of the event, the guests visited the workshops of the enterprise, got acquainted with the production of chipboards and furniture. According the foreign representatives’ opinion, the products of Belarusian woodworking enterprises are well known in different countries. Many of them noted the high level of the production culture at OJSC "Ivatsevichdrev", comparing the cleanliness and order in the shops with the food industry factories.
