On October 29th, "Brest" FEZ Administration and IQ Fulfillment organized a business seminar for enterprises interested in entering the markets of the United Arab Emirates and other countries of the Middle East.
The purpose of the event was to promote a wide range of Belarusian goods to the markets, to inform domestic producers about the UAE legislation regulating the import of goods, to assist in finding business partners.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the FEZ Administration, representatives of consulting companies operating in the UAE market, "Brest" FEZ enterprises - residents and other enterprises of the Brest region.
Alexander Kryvetski, Deputy Head of the FEZ Administration, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. Yuri Dmitrichkov, Head of the Foreign Relations and Economic Development Department, informed about the list of the topics for discussion and the format of the meeting.
Alesya Makeyonok, an e-commerce consultant at IQ Fulfillment, made a review of the trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the UAE; she also spoke about the tools for supporting the exports of Belarusian enterprises.
The participants of the seminar were shown the presentation revealing the general rules for the import of goods into the UAE and the peculiarities of the import of certain groups of goods, as well as the advantages of e-commerce and the possibility of using fulfillment centers to enter new markets.
In her turn, Yulia Ignatenko, the business development manager of “MCE Advisory - Business, banking & finance experts” informed the participants of the seminar on the registration of companies, opening a corporate bank account and business development in the UAE.
There followed a discussion of issues of mutual interest. The participants agreed on further joint steps in solving the problems of promoting manufactured products to new markets.
