On August, 14th, a new resident LLC "Smart Sun" was registered in "Brest" FEZ Administration. The company will implement a business project:  the construction of a photovoltaic power plant on the territory of the free economic zone. The project is being implemented within the framework of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated September 18, 2019 No. 357 "On renewable energy sources", which provides the balanced development of all types of electricity generation, taking into account  the Belarusian NPP operation.


As a result of the implementation of the project, "Brest" FEZ residents will have the opportunity to use cheaper electricity, contributing to an increase in the competitiveness of their manufactured products. The project is initiated by the managing company PURE ENERGY LLC. The company specializes in the development of infrastructure projects and programs related to "clean technologies", including: generation of energy from renewable sources, energy efficiency, water treatment and waste recycling. PURE ENERGY has many years of experience in the Republic of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine.


During  the ceremony, Konstantin Khovavko and Alla Fomichenko, representatives of the managing company, informed the FEZ Administration executives about the details of the business plan and answered questions related to the stages of its implementation. The land parcel of 9.6 hectares was allocated for the construction of the photovoltaic station. The plant's capacity will be 8 MW. The total planned investment is 3.6 million euros.


Fiodor Kolonchuk, a head of the FEZ Administration, handed a Registration Certificate to Konstantin Khovavko, a business development manager of the managing company. Thus, this is the sixth registration of a new business entity in "Brest" FEZ this year. LLC "Smart Sun" has become the 75th resident of the free economic zone.
