An agreement on cooperation between the administration of the "Brest" FEZ and the directorate of the FEZ "Jizzakh" was signed within the framework of the visit of the delegation of the Jizzakh region of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by the governor Ergash Soliev to the Brest region.
The need to develop close partnership relations between the free economic regions of Brest and Jizzakh was already discussed during the visit to the administration of the "Brest" FEZ by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus Nasirjan Yusupov. The parties expressed their mutual intent to promote the development of business ties between Belarusian and Uzbek entrepreneurs and expand mutually beneficial cooperation
The Free Economic Zone "Djizak" was established under the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 18, 2013. The main activities of the FEZ are: attracting direct investment for the creation and effective operation of modern high-tech and innovative industries; deepening the processes of localization of production of high-tech products on the basis of establishing close cooperation ties.
In accordance with the signed Agreement, the administration of the "Brest" FEZ and the directorate of the "Jizzakh" FEZ will organize business contacts, hold joint events to inform the business community about the investment and export opportunities of resident enterprises, search for partners for joint entrepreneurship and cooperation.
